The Royal Hotel enjoys a prime location right on the seafront, making it easy to visit the beach and nearby restaurants or coffee shops. Guests appreciate the spacious, traditional rooms, many featuring a flatscreen TV and tea/coffee facilities, plus a hearty breakfast starting early at 6:30 am. Some guests have noted that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment, and the decor in some rooms can appear a bit tired, but overall, the hotel is considered excellent value for money, particularly given its proximity to attractions like the Spanish City conference centre and the ease of access to the town centre.

i found the staff very friendly and helpful. they told us about local places for drinks (always a plus!). there is also a handy local shop just down the road selling drinks and snacks. the breakfast was lovely, hot, and always well-stocked when needed.
i did notice some stairs in the hotel. it might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

low water pressurebreakfast room view
The shower was quite old. the water pressure was minimal and the water barely got warm. I'm not sure why it couldn't heat up properly! also, i booked a single room. i knew it wouldn't have a sea view, but the breakfast room looking only at walls and an old air conditioning unit was disappointing. at least offer a decent view, not an appliance.
